In the summer and fall of 1965 - two albums hit the stores that were to cause quite a stir in popular music.
The first - "Rubber Soul" from the Beatles. The second - "Highway 61 Revisited" from Bob Dylan.
The Beatles took a giant artistic leap forward based on a few acoustic tips from Dylan.
Dylan also leapt off the ledge with a Beatles influenced "electric" album.
Although considered heresy by his following at the time -- Dylan, along with some of the best musicians America had to offer, created a musical tour de force. This acoustic track offers an insight into the creativity of one of America's brightest sparks.
Note - there is a line within the song:
"They're spoonfeeding Casanova to get him to feel more assured Then they'll kill him with self-confidence after poisoning him with words."
Although written 40+ years ago -- it reminds me of 90% of today's TV talking-heads, expert analysts, and radio talk-show hosts still feverishly spoonfeeding Giacomo Casanova who, of course, is you and me..
The more things change -- the more they stay the same!
